Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I visited this location on May 2nd around 4:00 PM and had a incredibly disappointing experience. Upon walking in, there was an employee on the floor stocking products who didn't acknowledge or greet us at all. After waiting for four minutes, we moved to the register to order. The employee then walked to the back, returned, and began fussing with the sample chest before finally asking, "What do you need?" There was no smile, no greeting, and no "have a nice day" when she handed over our order. The staff member (who wore glasses) was dismissive and frankly rude throughout the entire interaction. It’s a shame because the products are good, but the complete lack of basic customer service means I will not be supporting this establishment again.

Don't go here! I went to the Fashion Valley location on a Sunday and told the sales woman that my husband and I planned to do a juice cleanse on that Friday. She sold me 2 packs of the 1-day juice cleanse. But when we were ready to drink our first juices on Friday morning, we noticed that the juice had expired 2 days prior. She sold me juice knowing it would expire before the date we planned to use it. What's worse? It's impossible to get a customer service person on the phone. Wasted $80+ NEVER AGAIN. I have my own juicer... No need to waste my money on poor service and expired juice.

Clay truly stands out! His friendly demeanor immediately puts you at ease, and his customer service goes above and beyond. He offered thoughtful, practical advice that made a real difference in my experience, not just trying to β€œsell” but genuinely helping. It’s rare to find that level of care and professionalism. Highly recommend. I love my wellness shots!

I got an OG aΓ§aΓ bowl. The berries were fresh. It’s a good healthy option. It’s quiet and clean.

I went to pick up a Cleanse drink and ended up trying the Thrive Sparkling Refresher. They happened to be giving out free Cherry Limeade Energy Tonics, as well. The Thrive Refreshers were delicious. I'm super glad it was recommended to try. I definitely will be returning for that. This location is always clean, and the customer service is top-tier!
